The day after we celebrated Angelica's 7th birthday, we went to Aunt Nancy's house to celebrate Grampy Ray's birthday (which is the same day as mine on the best day of the year - Sept. 21). Grampy Ray has 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He served in the US Navy during WWII - something that we are all very proud of (of course, no prouder than he is - which is the way it should be).
Grampy turned 87 this year (on my birthday). We took these pictures that day.
This is what hangs right next to Grampy's parking space in their driveway.
This is Grampy Ray with (l to r) Aunt Sandie, my Mother-on-law, Susan, Grampy Ray and Aunt Nancy. I love this picture. In this picture, I think that these sisters don't resemble each other and that noone looks like Grampy.
I'm totally sure they are related, though.
This is Grampy Ray with one of the youngest of his clan, Gabriella - one of cousin Patrick & Corin's twin girls. Grampy looks thrilled - Gabriella, not so much. But she was good, she never cried....she just had her serious face on.
This is Gabriella's twin sister, Julia. She was trying to say cheese for me and spent just enough time without Mickey Mouse in her mouth to let me get a shot of her 2 bottom teeth. Julia is sitting with my MIL, Susan. (who I always call mom unless I haven't introduced her before to someone - if you've already met her, she's just my mom - like my own mom...)
In the back is Grampy's woodshop - I need one of these for all my scrapbooking stuff...
More pictures this weekend...I'm determined to catch up ASAP!
